High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business equivalent strongly preferred.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Billing Associate (Adv Billing Assoc). The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

 

 

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

• Prepare a minimum of 150+ basic Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus and commercial invoices per month
• Work as an integral team member in lowering overall billing cycles times and increasing collections
• Complete accurate and compliant contract invoices in support of revenue, EBIT and cash goals
• Follow all Billing Policies and Procedures to ensure successful internal/external audits
• Reviews, tracks and maintains billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and
  other accounting regulations
• Maintain comprehensive, accurate and organized records
• Analyze payments for Accounts Receivable and assist in identifying unapplied cash as needed
• Meet all invoice submission and/or distribution deadlines
• Accounts Receivable monitoring/tracking as assigned by management
• Process pre-closeout activities as assigned by management
• Work closely with Lead Billing Specialist, Billing Managers, Financial Analysts, Contract Administrators and Project Managers.

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Detail oriented with an interest in accounting or finance
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Basic knowledge of accounting processes and practices
• Basic understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DFAR, DCAA, DCMA, DoD, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and
  Sarbanes-Oxley Act preferred
• Considerable computer skills including knowledge of accounting software applications such as MS Excel, Hyperion Essbase, Oracle

 

 

Note: Remote / telework is an option but ideally you would be located close to a GD 'hub'.

 

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

USD $27.55 - USD $29.57 /Hr.
