Overview

 

 

The person in this role will utilize strong sales and customer serve skills as they maintain and service their own reservations from the beginning of the quote and booking processes until the journey is complete.
Although luxury agents must sell all cruise lines, their primary focus is the deluxe and luxury lines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain own reservations from the beginning of the quote and booking processes until the journey is complete, including providing customer service.
• Assist and service reservations generated within the department when another agent from the team is out of the office.
• Provide exemplary customer service to all guests, including active listening, providing solutions and options, and acting as a liaison between the guest and cruise line.
• Matching the proper cruise to the client based on cruise line attributes and subtleties, learned during the training period.
• Successfully navigating and utilizing online booking engines.
• Properly document reservations and guest interactions.
• Utilize good match and calculator skills.
• Various other duties as assigned, or required of this position.

Qualifications

General
• Sales background preferred.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and via email with the guest at the highest level of professionalism.
• Must be self-driven and possess the ability to work independently.
• The ability to understand and apply pricing and promotions.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility/ability to adjust to constantly changing promotions and needs of the sales floor.
• Collaborative skills/ teamwork oriented.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Technical capacity to use online booking engines, Microsoft Outlook, and other systems as required.
(New Sales Agents will be trained in the use of these systems.)
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Must have strong math skills and an understanding on how to maximize profit on all bookings.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions, maintain a professional demeanor and restraint at all times, including stressful situations.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Ability to function in a past-faced environment, under short time constraints, and within established
deadlines.

 

Physical:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Typing and handwriting included in position duties. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office
products and supplies. Specific vision abilities include the ability to read computer monitor, files, and
other documents as needed.
