Private Equity Fund Performance Manager

The Private Equity Fund Performance Manager will be a part of the Fund Reporting and Analytics Team, primarily covering Vista’s private equity products. This team is focused on analysis for internal and external clients, utilizing fund and deal performance data to prepare published figures, reporting and bespoke client requests. This position plays a critical role in managing and enhancing our fund and portfolio analytics capabilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private equity, with expertise in fund performance returns, hypothetical and horizon return analysis, benchmarking, Snowflake and PowerBI usage, and managing complex data projects and reporting templates.

This is a Remote role, with a preferece for hybrid candidates (on-site and remote) based in New York or Texas .

• Perform detailed calculations of fund-level return metrics (IRR, MOIC, RVPI, DPI etc.)
• Perform fund level benchmarking exercises (public market equivalent analysis, pro forma composites etc.)
• Analyze cash flow data to support fund performance monitoring
• Work closely with the accounting, compliance, and investor relations teams to ensure accurate fund performance data and metrics
• Maintain, update, and enhance performance tracking models (e.g., fund cash flow models, waterfalls, capital call projections)
• Support fund reporting processes by ensuring all data is up-to-date and reconciled
• Assist in ad-hoc performance-related analysis and modeling requests from the investment or finance teams
• Produce and sign-off on private equity fund performance returns (including strategy composites) and help drive the continued build-out of related dashboards in reporting tools.
• Prepare hypothetical and horizon return analysis.
• Forecast hypothetical fund scenarios.
• Perform benchmarking material reviews and help manage public market equivalent (PME) summaries and calculations for fundraising.
• Pull portfolio company data and ensure efficient data management.
• Serve as a key user for data integration, developing desktop procedures for proper usage and uploading Fund Operations data into reporting dashboards.
• Review and enhance quarterly and ad hoc reporting templates, assisting with quarterly reporting as needed.
• Collaborate with Investor Servicing to prepare complex fund data requests.
• Manage data projects and coordinate across various groups on complex projects.

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on fund reporting/analytics experience, ideally in a private equity firm. Candidates with a professional background in private markets investment advisory, research, or portfolio management will also be considered.
• Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to distill complex data into a digestible format.
• Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and expert modeling and spreadsheet capabilities, including familiarity with fund waterfalls and overall fund mechanics.
• Previous managerial experience, including team leadership, development, and resource planning.
• Ability to manage a multi-project workload within tight deadlines through strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication, partnering, and influencing skills.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Proficiency in using Snowflake and PowerBI.
• A./B.S. in Accounting or Finance.
• CFA or CAIA designation is a plus.
