EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a masterβs degree is preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate and learn, high degree of curiosity, default with can-do altitude
- 7+ years of experience in the technology field, focused on data and analytics technology solution design, implementation, and innovation; with at least 2 years of technology leadership
- Hands-on proficiency in data engineering tools and market trending technologies, including database systems (RDBMS and NoSQL, Snowflake is a must-have), ETL tools (dbt preferred), orchestration platforms (Airflow preferred), cloud-based data platforms (Azure β preferred, AWS or GCP) and associated infrastructure, and programing languages (Python preferred)
- Proven successful experience in modernization and optimization data platform into cloud environments; expert knowledge of Snowflake and Azure suite of products from data acquisition, data management and pipeline transformation to data consumption including visualization and API integrations
- Mastery in collaborating with business stakeholders to manage data analytics and visualization demand, strong ability to interpret and present data insights with business languages
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights for business stakeholders
- Strategic and critical thinking ability to align data analytics initiatives with organizational goals
- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, machine learning engineers, and data engineers
- Assess and recommend data analytics tools, platforms, and external vendors as needed
- Good understanding of statistical analysis and AI/ML modeling techniques with hands-on proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, R)
- Some experience in developing and storytelling of AI/ML models, business intelligence and visualizations from conception to MLOps and high adoption data products
- Experience working with Healthcare and Life Sciences organizations
