Project Details:
Our latest project entails the re-platforming of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) website to Wagtail, a robust Content Management System (CMS). This initiative involves migrating content and establishing systems in Azure to enhance performance and scalability. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Freelance Tech Lead to join our team for this project.
Skills Needed:
Extensive experience with Azure and Azure Web App for Containers
Proficiency in Azure cloud services
Strong expertise in Python/Django
Familiarity with Cloudflare, Nginx, and reverse proxy configurations
Experience with Wagtail/Django as a headless CMS is a plus
Knowledge of content migration strategies and API integration
Responsibilities:
Set up DevOps processes and systems required for the re-platforming to Wagtail
Lead the migration of content and implementation of systems in Azure
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of the project
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members as needed
Troubleshoot technical issues and propose effective solutions
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven track record of successfully leading technical projects, preferably in a freelance capacity
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
