Position Summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading Fleet Maintenance companies in the US, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Operations Manager. The Vehicle Operations Manager will be responsible for oversight of the company’s fleet of vehicles and assets.  Works with operational leaders to ensure the optimal performance and use of assets to deliver service to customers by establishing a standardized vehicle management program. 

 

Compensation: Competitive Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops and administers a standardized, enterprise-wide vehicle management program.
  • Reviews & modifies processes for the procurement and liquidation of company assets.
  • Establishes a “corporate pool” of assets waiting to be allocated for customer service delivery.
  • Ensures operations leaders are accountable for the proper maintenance and repair of vehicles supporting customer service delivery.
  • Provides recommendations for the reallocation of assets to the EAM and P&L leaders.
  • Works with existing systems to develop robust reporting leveraging telematics.
  • Analyzes data and provides recommendations on vehicle utilization and redeployments.
  • Creates exception reports pertaining to fuel usage, geofence-violations, speeding violations, excessive mileage, etc.
  • Provides financial based recommendations for replacement and repair of current assets.
  • Establishes visual reporting on where assets are located by P&L owner and enterprise wide.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

  • Proven track record of interacting with senior levels of an organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication supporting operations under high demand environment.
  • Ability to create effective presentations including PowerPoints, narrative style reports and business cases.
  • Ability to gather & analyze data with holistic view of program for trends and outliers.
  • Superior Excel skills including v-lookups, indexing, pivots, and data modelling.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with ability to quickly adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Must be able to travel as needed to meet organizational needs.
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations pertaining to vehicles.

Working Conditions

 

Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of related experience in fleet management or equivalent asset capacity and 3 years of supervisory experience.  Demonstrated track record of process improvement and accomplishments.

 

Work Environment:

Predominantly operates in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Some periods of time may be spent in workshops or warehouses.
