This role offers a chance to lead the design, deployment, and automation of complex cloud infrastructure in a highly dynamic environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams of architects, engineers, and product managers to ensure highly available, secure, and scalable platforms. The position involves driving DevOps best practices, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and proactive monitoring to maintain optimal system performance. You will influence architectural decisions, optimize cloud resource usage, and implement automation that enhances reliability and efficiency. Accountabilities Architect and automate cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, ARM, Helm, Ansible, and CloudFormation. Design scalable, highly available solutions across Azure environments and deploy/manage services on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), VNets, VMs, ACR, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Event Grid, and other Azure resources. Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and implement GitOps workflows using GitHub or Azure DevOps. Support Linux and Windows environments, leveraging Bash and PowerShell scripting for automation. Enforce cybersecurity best practices, compliance, and disaster recovery strategies. Collaborate with architects and product owners to define deployment strategies and operationalize solutions. Document architecture, runbooks, deployment instructions, and proof-of-concept evaluations for team reference. Promote DevOps principles including automation, infrastructure-as-code, continuous improvement, and team collaboration.
Requirements 8+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps roles. 5+ years of Azure experience with core services and deploying complex systems. 4+ years managing IaC tools (Terraform, ARM, Helm), Git workflows, and Kubernetes clusters. Strong Linux (4+ years) and Windows (2+ years) system administration experience. Proficiency with GitOps tools like ArgoCD, scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python, JavaScript), and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm). Solid networking knowledge, including CIDR, subnets, NSG, VPNs, DNS, TCP/UDP, TLS, PKI, firewalls, proxies, API gateways, NAT, IPv6. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, cloud resource cost optimization, and observability platforms. Preferred: Kubernetes Operators, video streaming protocols (WebRTC, HLS, RTMP, RTSP, CDN), IoT protocols (MQTT, AMQP), and relevant certifications in Azure, Kubernetes, or security.
