The Role We're looking for a Backend Engineer with deep Node.js and TypeScript experience to architect and scale systems that support a global user base. You'll own the core backend logic, APIs, and integrations that power the platform. You'll play a key role in shaping a new financial product that blends Web2 reliability with Web3 innovation, bringing stablecoin‑enabled credit cards and intelligent financial tools to a global audience. You'll work directly with the founder on a small, high‑ownership team that moves fast, cares about craft, and enjoys solving complex problems together. What You’ll Do Design and implement backend systems and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript. Own architecture, reliability, and performance of backend services. Work closely with frontend engineers to deliver robust end‑to‑end features. Optimize systems for scalability, maintainability, and security. Move fast — ship, iterate, and improve continuously. What We’re Looking For 5–8 years of backend engineering experience. Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and REST API design. Deep understanding of databases, caching, and system design. High sense of ownership and initiative — you build, test, and deploy confidently. Nice to Have Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines. Interest in AI, automation, or scalable data systems. Experience in startup or lean engineering environments.
