Turbine is an early-stage fintech company transforming how venture capital is financed. As Business Development Lead, you will drive growth by identifying, closing, and onboarding new clients and partners across the venture capital ecosystem. This role combines strategic relationship management with hands-on execution — guiding prospects from initial engagement through activation and early product adoption. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a seamless client experience, surface market insights, and contribute to the ongoing refinement of our go-to-market strategy. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and deepening our market presence in the evolving landscape of fintech and venture finance. Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities through inbound and outbound channels. Manage a pipeline of firms, funds, and borrowers from initial contact through contract execution and activation. Partner with clients post-contract to lead onboarding and early product adoption. Deliver clear and compelling presentations tailored to customer needs. Serve as the primary point of contact during onboarding, ensuring smooth handoffs, resolving issues, and driving customer readiness for long-term success. Monitor and report on pipeline performance, conversion metrics, and onboarding milestones. Collaborate cross-functionally to surface customer insights and inform product and go-to-market strategies. Help scale sales with onboarding playbooks, processes, and best practices. Consistently achieve or exceed revenue and activation targets. Ability to travel to conferences and to the company headquarters with 15%-25% of travel expected. Qualifications 5-7 years of B2B business development experience, ideally in fintech, venture lending, capital markets, or as a relationship manager within a financial institution. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota. Strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills. Comfortable leading clients through semi-structured implementation processes. Self-starter who can thrive in a dynamic environment. Proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
