    Job Description

    About Us:

FEI Group is a division of Nationwide Marketing Group (NMG), the largest buying, marketing, and business support organization of its kind in North America. Within NMG’s ecosystem, FEI Group represents the company’s specialty trade division, serving independent businesses across the flooring, kitchen and bath, and interior finishes industries. Together, NMG and FEI Group empower entrepreneurs to compete, grow, and thrive in their markets.

FEI Group Inc, founded in 1998, is a problem-solving, results-driven team of industry veterans obsessed with helping independent business owners thrive on their own terms. We support the largest network of serious contractors across six divisions and with operations spanning more than 200 markets. Contractor members benefit from collective negotiating strength, participation in invitation-only events, and exclusive business resources, enabling them to buy ‘right’ and serve their customers better.

Exterior Contractor Alliance (ECA), one of the six divisions within FEI Group, is an invitation-only cooperative for high quality, full-service roofing and exterior finish contractors who service the single-family, multi-family, retail, storm and insurance restoration, and commercial market segments. ECA was formed in 2019 and is now represented across the nation with over 150 members, 500+ branch locations and well over $4.5 combined topline revenue.

Our mission is to add value to every link of the industry chain and increase efficiencies through scale and cooperation. ECA’s management team works on behalf of our members and strategic supply partners to create mutual and exclusive market advantages. We work diligently each day to increase the profitability of all members and bring value to our suppliers and all stakeholders.

As part of our value proposition, we organize and facilitate events and activities that bring the best in the business face-to-face. Whether it’s member site visits, regional meetings, manufacturer tours, benchmarking workshops, trade shows, monthly conference calls or our National Conference, all are results oriented. Job Location: Remote U.S.

    Job Summary:

You’re the kind of person who walks into a room and instantly starts connecting dots—between people, ideas, and opportunities. You’re energized by relationships, grounded in strategy, and motivated by growth that’s real and measurable.

You think big but act with precision. You love building relationships that lead to impact. You enjoy wearing many hats: strategist, recruiter, educator, and trusted partner. You take ownership, communicate clearly, and don’t just spot opportunities—you create them.

As the Business Development Manager for the Exterior Contractor Alliance (ECA), you’ll serve as the connector between members, vendors, and industry partners, driving the initiatives that move our community forward. You’ll help independent exterior contractors compete and grow by showing them the value of joining FEI Group’s powerful network within the Nationwide Marketing Group family.

As a key member of the Exterior Contractor Alliance (ECA) management team, this role is responsible for driving strategic initiatives, leading member recruitment and engagement, and serving as a subject matter expert on FEI Group membership benefits and business service programs. The position focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with Members, potential members, vendors, distributors, and industry partners to support the continued growth and success of the organization.

This role will lead onboarding and training efforts, manage recruitment materials, and collaborate cross-functionally to develop and execute projects aligned with divisional needs. Responsibilities include analyzing revenue and operational trends, presenting growth opportunities, managing key industry data, and supporting communication strategies across the ECA network. The role also contributes to the development of educational content for the Learning Management System (LMS) and supports event planning, including workshops, strategic meetings, and industry conferences.

Success in this position requires strategic thinking, excellent relationship management, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead initiatives that enhance Member value and organizational impact.

If you’re a confident communicator, a natural connector, and someone who thrives on helping businesses grow, you’ll fit right in—and you’ll love the impact you can make here.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate on and executive strategic initiatives as a key member of the Exterior Contractor Alliance (ECA) management team.
    • Champion and assume accountability for recruitment strategies and efforts to attract and convert new members and industry partners.
    • Foster and manage trust-backed relationships with members, potential members, vendors and distributors, as well as industry partner sales and marketing teams.
    • Serves as a subject matter expert for FEI Group membership benefits and values, including business service programs.
    • Take lead on all onboard training for new ECA members, current members, supply partners and service providers.
    • Manage ongoing updates of collateral materials used for recruitment purposes.
    • Develop project scopes to effectively communicate division needs to cross- departmental internal teams (marketing, leadership, event planning, finance, administrative support, etc.)
    • Assess monthly and quarterly revenue trends as well as supplier and vendor operations and recommend improvements as needed.
    • Manage and track key data points tied to industry and member trends including, but not limited to, member/partner key contact updates, purchasing behaviors, YoY topline revenue, categories and markets served, private equity movement/changes, ECA industry partner adoption rates, and purchase reporting.
    • Seek out and retain subject matter experts to present and lead relevant, hot button topic discussions virtually and in person.
    • Present divisionally aligned business or marketing opportunities to company executives and management.
    • Coordinate and moderate ongoing membership communications and conference calls.
    • Assist in the planning of and participation in company meetings, events, and conferences
    • Identify and develop impactful content and curriculum for the Learning Management System (LMS) for ECA and FEI Group members.
    • Partner with ECA Director to build out agendas, content, and presentations for member and industry events such as financial benchmarking, sales management, and marketing workshops, advisory board meetings, strategic supply, and in-person member meetings.
    • Support and help facilitate co-hosted events with industry partners in which to serve our membership (training, tours, small group outings).
    • Travel, approximately three weeks/occurrences per month.
    • Position based in Marietta or remote Home Office if not in immediate area.

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales and marketing or related field.
