As an Associate Account Executive (Business Development Representative), you are the front-line of prospect outreach at Octopus with a goal to generate qualified opportunities for our Sales Team. You will be responsible for developing and owning the “top-of-funnel” through cold calling, cold emailing, social channels, and leads. You will be expected to learn the Octopus product in order to quickly and effectively communicate the value proposition, respond to objections, and speak to the industry trends. This role is pivotal to our team's aggressive growth targets, so a growth mindset, resilience, adaptability, and commitment to seeking creative solutions for individual prospects will be crucial in this role. \n
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.A sense of urgency and persistence. Prior lead generation and/or sales prospecting experience is a must. Have experience using sales development platforms to execute the outreach process consisting of phone, email, and social touches. Ability to work solo as well as being a productive team member, making outbound calls every day. Working knowledge of the enterprise software market or the ability to learn new software quickly. Strive to continuously improve your sales development process and demonstrate a willingness to learn and implement best practices.

Maturing- $94,000 AUD/NZD annual + commission + stock options (OTE $140,800 AUD/NZD) Performing- $110,000 AUD/NZD annual + commission + stock options (OTE €156,800 AUD/NZD)

🧑💻Hiring manager chat [45–60 min] Hiring manager chat: Designated time to chat with the hiring manager. This is a great opportunity to get to know each other. You should expect the hiring manager to ask questions about your professional background and goals. We welcome any questions you may have for us!
🎉Panel interview [60–90 min] Final round chat: In this final round call, you meet cross-functional team members. You can expect a mix of leaders and individual contributors to join the chat. By the end of this call, you should have a great idea of what it’s like to work at Octopus. We should also have a great idea of what it would be like to have you on the team! We’ll ask any final questions and encourage you to do the same.
