Position Summary The Business Operations Manager, Clinical Trials and Innovations, will serve as the operational backbone to ensure seamless execution of business development activities across clinical trial partnerships and innovation initiatives. This role supports contract execution, process management, and cross-functional coordination to enable the Director of Business Development to focus on high-level strategy, negotiations, and external relationships. The Business Operations Manager will drive efficiency, manage workflows, and track deliverables to ensure timely execution and compliance with organizational standards. ⸻ Operational Execution & Process Management Support the Director of Business Development by managing end-to-end operational workflows for clinical trial and innovation partnerships. Oversee contract lifecycle management processes, including document tracking, approvals, signature routing, and filing. Maintain tools, dashboards, and trackers to monitor contract status, obligations, timelines, and renewal requirements. Ensure alignment with corporate compliance, regulatory, and quality standards throughout the contracting process. Cross-Functional Coordination Act as a liaison between Business Development and Legal, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Clinical Operations, and R&D teams. Coordinate internal stakeholder input for contract drafts, redlines, and approvals. Facilitate communication across departments to ensure alignment on deal execution and post-deal implementation. Clinical Trials Support Assist in coordinating agreements with Sponsors, CROs, trial sites, and academic research institutions. Track trial-specific contractual obligations such as data sharing, IP ownership, and compliance requirements. Partner with internal clinical and operational teams to ensure operational readiness once contracts are finalized. Innovation Partnerships Support Support operational execution of contracts in early cancer detection, and other innovation initiatives. Translate technical or scientific requirements into operational action items. Coordinate with innovation and product teams to ensure feasibility of proposed contract structures. Business Enablement & Reporting Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and trackers to provide visibility on contract execution, risk factors, and pipeline progress. Contribute to business development models, pricing templates, and term sheet preparation through data analysis and operational insights. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and compliance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or related field. 5+ years of experience in business operations, program management, or contract management, ideally within biotech, pharma, or clinical research. Strong understanding of clinical trial operations and/or innovation partnerships in life sciences. Experience working with contracts (MSAs, CDAs, SOWs, licensing, collaboration agreements). Exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with competing priorities. Proficiency in contract management tools, CRM systems, and project management software. PMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferred.
