Provide strategic and operational HR advice and support Lead and support change management initiatives that enable transformation and continuous improvement Drive workforce planning and capability building Lead and support organisational development initiatives Champion employee engagement and wellbeing Collaborate on projects that enhance culture, leadership, and performance
You will possess a strong background in Human Resources, with experience providing guidance and support at various organizational levels. Your skills should include coaching, leading performance discussions, supporting change, and implementing people-related strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a capacity for building trust and rapport.
Proven experience in a senior HR advisory or business partnering role in a medium or large organisation Tertiary level qualification in HR or similar Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice Change management experience (an advantage) Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills Coaching, facilitation and investigation skills A strategic mindset with the ability to translate ideas into action A collaborative, solutions-focused approach What we offer | Ko ngā painga mōu At Nelson City Council we believe that taking care of Nelson starts with taking care of our people.
