Summary The Clinical Audit Associate will perform audits of clinical processes and special projects within healthcare while assisting other audit team members in providing a clinical perspective to their projects. This position will provide independent yet collaborative services to our healthcare customer’s senior leadership, including the CNO, CMO, CFO and Board of Directors. Our customers consist of health systems, hospitals, physician practices, and payers. Our services include conducting risk assessments, executing internal audits, and performing other consulting project engagements for these organizations. Required Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in a related concentration. Relevant license or certification (such as Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse). Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in the healthcare setting (2-3 years in the acute care setting preferred). Experience working with electronic medical records (Cerner, EPIC or similar) to deliver and/or improve the delivery of care. This position requires a minimum of 50% travel.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills Experience working in a healthcare quality department or risk management and/or performing quality self-audits at the department level. Experience with regulatory standards compliance, including working with healthcare accreditation surveyors. Familiarity with the fundamentals of clinical practice, including patient placement, patient assessments, treatment, and care planning essentials; scope of practice modalities; infection prevention, patient safety, patient rights, and patient experience. The ability to manage multiple projects and levels of staff. The ability to interact in a remote team environment and foster customer relationships. Excellent time management, verbal, and written communication skills.
