Role Overview We are looking for a Dynamics 365 Application Support Lead to join our team. This role is remote, but you must be located in the UK, there will be occasional travel to the Stapeley or Basingstoke offices You will be responsible for the operational support, performance, and security of the D365 Platform. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines functional expertise with people management and process governance You will oversee a team of Dynamics 365 Application Support Specialists (based in the Philippines) and report to the Global Head of IT Operations You will be ensuring effective incident and request management, high-quality user experience, and consistent adherence to ITSM practices across a multi-entity global environment. Working closely with business stakeholders, the Product & Platform Teams, and Global IT Operations, you will drive the stability, security, and optimisation of the F&O platform, ensuring it continues to meet the organisation’s evolving business needs. You Will Team Leadership and Management Line manage the D365 Application Support Specialists, providing direction, coaching, and career development. Oversee daily workload allocation, prioritisation, and performance management across the team. Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and ensure alignment with IT Operations goals. Build a collaborative, growth-oriented culture that emphasises accountability, learning, and continuous improvement. IT General Controls (ITGC) and Audit Collaboration Designing and maintaining D365 user security controls in line with ITGC principles, external auditor direction and organisational policy. Managing security role design, segregation of duties (SoD), and access provisioning frameworks to prevent conflicts and ensure least privilege access. Ensuring periodic user access reviews are conducted, validating role appropriateness and documenting remediation actions. Overseeing license allocation and governance, ensuring alignment between functional requirements and license utilisation. Coordinating audit engagements related to D365, providing evidence, process documentation, and facilitating control testing. Partnering with the Cyber Security team to ensure security controls are operationally effective, consistently applied, and evolve with system changes. Driving continuous improvement of D365 security posture through lessons learned from audits and control assessments. Application Support and Service Management Oversee the day-to-day operational support of the D365 platform, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of incidents and service requests. Monitor support queues, establish KPIs, and ensure compliance with defined SLAs and ITSM processes. Manage critical escalations and coordinate with Service Delivery Coordinators where appropriate. Partner with the Intelligent Service Operations team to identify automation and self-service opportunities. Functional and Technical Oversight Act as a senior escalation point and subject matter expert for complex application issues within the platform. Oversee configuration management, environment health, and patch/release activities. Collaborate with business process owners to validate configuration changes and resolve cross-functional dependencies. Stakeholder Engagement and Continuous Improvement Work closely with Product teams to understand evolving business needs. Identify opportunities to improve system usability, reduce manual processes, and enhance reporting capabilities. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of configurations, procedures, and known issues. Contribute to roadmap discussions and improvement initiatives with the Product Owners. Requirements Essential Skills and Experience Extensive experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) in a multi-entity, global environment. Strong functional understanding of D365 F&O modules (Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Supply Chain). Practical experience managing Security Roles, permissions, and access controls. Sound understanding of ITSM processes and performance metrics. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and IT teams. Desirable Microsoft certification in Dynamics 365 Finance or Supply Chain modules. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, LCS, and Power Platform integrations. Proven experience leading or mentoring application support teams. Exposure to automation, workflow, or reporting enhancements within the D365 ecosystem.
