Your Role As a Data Architect within the Content Tech Tribe, your primary purpose is to define and govern the data architecture that powers Hubexo’s global content lifecycle. You will transform our project data into a well-defined, consistent, and accessible strategic asset, creating the foundational blueprint for the new event-driven collaborative system and other services built by the tribe. This role is pivotal in shaping how Hubexo leverages data. You will lead the design of conceptual, logical, and physical data models that define the data contracts for our new systems, guiding both API developers and data migration strategies to ensure the integrity and quality of our data ecosystem. This is what you'll be doing Design, develop, and govern the global data model for our content, ensuring it is scalable, consistent, and performant. Lead data migration and mapping initiatives, ensuring a seamless and accurate transition of data from legacy systems. Create and enforce standards for data attributes and metadata, building a comprehensive data dictionary as a single source of truth. Establish frameworks for data quality, data governance, and data lineage tracking to ensure data provenance and trust. Architect data structures that enable advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning initiatives. Collaborate with Solution Architects and API development teams to define robust data contracts and schemas for our GraphQL and REST APIs. Implement data governance and security policies in partnership with security teams to ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR. Your Core Competencies 8+ years of experience in data architecture, with extensive conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling for large-scale, complex systems Proven experience designing high-throughput, low-latency data ingestion and processing pipelines (ETL/ELT) in a cloud-native environment Deep practical experience with core cloud data services (AWS S3, Glue, Redshift, Kinesis; or equivalent services in Azure/GCP) Strong proficiency in defining data contracts and schemas for APIs (REST, GraphQL) and event-driven architectures Expertise in building and maintaining data governance frameworks, including data quality, metadata management, lineage tracking, and data security Demonstrated experience leading data migration from legacy platforms to modern, cloud-native data models Excellent ability to explain complex technical concepts and collaborate effectively with engineering, solution architects, and product teams Strong capability to break down large-scale global systems into structured, manageable architectural components English proficiency at C1 level Your Additional Qualifications Experience designing data models to support AI/ML and advanced analytics initiatives Hands-on experience with modern data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) or data modeling tools (Erwin, Sparx EA) Familiarity with data ingestion from diverse sources, including web scraping technologies Experience working in agile environments, ideally within a tribe/squad model Strong planning and cross-team coordination skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels Certifications in Data Architecture or Data Modeling are a plus Curiosity, ownership, and a passion for building high-impact, scalable data systems Why Hubexo We’re not here to coast - we’re here to challenge, grow, and build better.
