Data Engineer - 1099 Contractor

About the role:

You will design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions that power Darwin Homes' analytics and decision-making capabilities. You will drive architectural decisions, and ensure our data infrastructure scales with our growing business needs.

What you'll do:

Data Pipeline Development Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot data processing issues Data Architecture & Infrastructure Design and implement data warehouse architectures Work with IT teams on data governance and compliance initiatives Data Quality & Integration Establish data quality monitoring and validation processes Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, and third-party systems Implement data cataloging and management solutions Ensure data lineage tracking and documentation

Basic Qualifications:

Proficiency in SQL Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or similar frameworks Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Experience with modern data warehouse solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
