Overview of the Role The Events Assistant plays a key supporting role in helping to deliver The Drum’s exciting programme of live events. Working closely with the wider events team, you’ll provide essential administrative, organisational, and logistical support across our global portfolio — from awards and festivals to client activations and internal company events. This is an entry-level role, ideal for someone looking to start their career in events. You’ll learn from experienced producers, develop your project coordination skills, and gain first-hand experience in what it takes to run professional events from start to finish. Alongside your day-to-day administrative responsibilities, you’ll have opportunities to take on more responsibility — such as supporting smaller events or assisting with specific areas of larger shows. As your confidence grows, you may even help deliver a full event under the guidance of a senior producer/event director. Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you’ll gain valuable exposure to events across the UK, US, and APAC regions. This role offers the perfect foundation for career growth within The Drum’s global events team.
