Finance Statutory Accountant - 6 month Fixed Term Contract

Purpose of the Role:

This role will report to the Head of Statutory Reporting & Restructuring and be responsible for the preparation of a portfolio of subsidiary accounts. In addition, they will be responsible for maintaining the accounts production system for the subsidiary companies and monitoring and tracking of the audit / PGE statutory accounts, liaising with both the auditors and other relevant internal teams as appropriate to take assigned statutory accounts from trial balance to signed and filed. In addition, the role will assist the Head of Statutory Reporting & Restructuring in audit planning, timetabling, Group reporting instructions, discussions, training and engaging with all stakeholders in the planning process as well as taking the lead on resolving audit /PGE queries for nominated companies by liaising with other departments and the auditors. The role will include ensuring that for nominated companies the statutory accounts and ledgers agree or can be reconciled to the ledger and that all relevant journals are entered onto the nominal ledger at an agreed time to facilitate this.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education – Degree level educated (or equivalent).
• Systems Thompson Reuters OneSource
• Specialised Knowledge –IFRS, UK GAAP
• Microsoft Office skills to intermediate level
• Professional Certification – ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Experience - Previous experience of statutory accounts production from TB to signed accounts with minimal oversight, audit process management
