About the role We are looking for a native Canadian French speaking Medical Translator to join us on a part-time, freelance basis for up to 16 hours per month. This is a fully remote position based in Canada but our preference is for applicants located in the Eastern or Atlantic Timezone. What you’ll do English to Canadian French translation of medical and other relevant content across Ada’s products, including the consumer app and client-facing services. Support with Canadian French speaking partner requests. Support the localization team in Marketing with translation for UX copy for Ada’s client and user-facing products, including our app. Utliize our in-house tools to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders. What you’ll bring Medical approbation or a license to practice medicine in the country of study (or you could be a student currently enrolled in a medical course at university). A native-level fluency in Canadian French AND a professional fluency in English. Good command of Canadian French grammar and complex vocabulary. Excellent time management skills, excellent communication and the ability to to work to deadlines within a cross functional environment. Good level of computer literacy (Windows, Google Sheets, OS X, MS-Office, etc.) and software understanding. Previous medical translation experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
