    Job Description

    Nations Roof is looking to hire a Human Resources Coordinator that has experience working within an HR professional office setting.

    Nations Roof is one of the largest commercial roofing contractors in the US. Our projects range in scope from large-scale new construction to complete tear-offs, re-roofing and renovations of existing building exteriors, and on-going roof maintenance, inspection, and repairs of all major commercial roof systems.

    Purpose: The Human Resources Coordinator, under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Manager, will assist with the day-to-day transactions that improve the workflow of the Human Resources department as well as improving the candidate and employee experience. The position concentrates on pre-hiring candidates, assisting with the new hire process and all document control that is requires for this process.  This position also assists the HR Manager with various tasks including benefits related administration.

    * Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Will work with ADP (Workforce Now) employee data entry. This includes but is not limited to entering rate and status changes, position changes, terminations, ADP Access request, document uploads.
    • Answering phones, employee engagement emails and VOE inquiries.
    • Will work on administrative tasks within MS Office, Excel, Word and ATS.
    • Responsible to upload files to ADP on a daily basis as needed and in a timely manner.
    • Accurately maintain employee files and confidentiality.
    • Works closely with the Onboarding Specialist to ensure timely processing and a favorable new hire experience.
    • Must be able to work independently and efficiently with a strong sense of urgency.
    • Must have excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
    • Must be able to troubleshoot any problems as they arise and work with HR team to find the best solution as quickly as possible.
    • Respond to employee inquiries and respond as needed.
    • Aid payroll specialists as needed.
    • Will be assigned ad hoc projects within the Human Resources Department.
    • Receives, organizes, and maintains documents.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Skills/Knowledge:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively plan, organize and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.   Intermediate computer skills required. (Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

    Education/Experience:

    High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree, preferred.  Any equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
