Location:

This position is remote but must live within 30 minutes of a Florida branch office.

Schedule:

This is a PRN position. Candidates must be available Monday-Friday from 3:00 PM to 8 PM.

Your Role as an Intake Specialist:

• Serve as the first step in the patient care process by managing incoming referrals and ensuring all required documents and orders are complete.
• Process referrals with precision, handling a high volume of documents efficiently.
• Collaborate regularly with the operations team and sales department to ensure seamless coordination.

* Key responsibilities include:

• Processing new patient intakes.
• Conducting eligibility and benefit checks.
• Navigating EMR systems and other acceptance portals.
• Communicating with sales, operations, and referral sources.
• Managing and reconciling insurance changes every week.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of recent experience navigating medical insurance verification and eligibility
• At least 1 year of recent experience working with multiple EMR platforms and insurance portals
• At least 1 year of recent medical referral processing
• Access to a quiet, HIPAA-compliant workspace, as this is a remote position
• Compensation: $18-$22/hour based on experience
• Must reside in Florida
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
• Detail-oriented and capable of performing repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Experience with medical intake processes (preferred).
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and insurance portals (preferred)
