As member of the Systems Engineering team in Optasia, your primary objective is to guide the Hardware & Virtualization team in maintaining a stable, well-structured, and efficiently scaled infrastructure, ensuring that all server, storage, and VMware platforms operate smoothly and remain aligned with business and lifecycle requirements. What you will do Lead the Hardware & Virtualization team to ensure operational excellence, capacity optimization, and service continuity. Oversee management of servers, storage systems, and VMware environments. Define and enforce infrastructure configuration standards and documentation practices. Perform capacity planning for on-premise and third-party hosted environments, including sizing for upgrades and new deployments. Manage incident resolution, O&M activities, and escalation with vendors or support providers. Supervise firmware and ESXi upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and rollback preparedness. Maintain accurate inventory management through tools such as Device42 and SSMC. Track End of Support and End of Life for hardware and coordinate timely replacements or migrations. Administer support contracts and ensure SLA compliance with vendors and service providers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver migration projects and infrastructure improvements. Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to team members. What you will bring 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior technical role. Strong hands-on knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies. Experience managing enterprise server and storage platforms, including configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle management. Familiarity with monitoring and inventory tools such as SSMC and Device42. Proven ability to manage capacity planning, incident management, and O&M in complex environments. Proven ability to manage a small team. Solid understanding of firmware and hypervisor upgrade procedures. Experience handling hardware support contracts, EOS/EOL tracking, and vendor coordination.
