Lead Applied AI Engineer, Europe Remote

In this role, you will join a pioneering AI engineering team tasked with driving large-scale Generative AI initiatives across multiple business functions. You will design, build, and scale reusable AI components, frameworks, and infrastructure that enable teams to rapidly develop and deploy AI-powered applications. Working closely with engineering leadership, you will influence standards, implement best practices, and provide tooling that enhances productivity and adoption. Your work will shape AI strategy, empower teams with advanced GenAI capabilities, and deliver measurable impact on the business at scale. Accountabilities Lead the design, development, and deployment of large-scale GenAI applications and platforms. Build reusable components such as AI gateways, SDKs, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and agentic workflows to accelerate adoption across teams. Establish and promote engineering-wide standards for AI application development and deployment. Partner with other engineering teams to integrate GenAI primitives into production systems. Drive adoption of automation workflows and scalable AI infrastructure across business functions. Mentor and support engineering peers, providing guidance on AI best practices and tooling. Requirements Proven experience developing GenAI applications using frameworks similar to LlamaIndex or LangGraph, including RAG and multi-agent workflows. Deep understanding of LLM models and providers to guide optimal integration. 5+ years of experience building production-scale web applications using Python, Node.js, Typescript, or Go. Expertise with GenAI primitives: vector databases, semantic/hybrid search, memory, agentic workflows, MCP, A2A. Experience building, scaling, and deploying applications in AWS (ECS, Fargate, EKS) and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with engineering leadership. Nice-to-have: experience with Typescript at scale, AWS Bedrock integration, LLM observability, MCP server implementation, and evaluation frameworks for AI applications.
