Responsibilities Develop and implement an engaging curriculum for the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling Program. Provide instruction and mentorship to students, fostering their growth and understanding of genetic counseling principles. Coordinate clinical placements and ensure students receive practical experiences in diverse healthcare settings. Stay abreast of developments in the field of genetic counseling and incorporate new findings into the curriculum. Evaluate and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their professional development. Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance interdisciplinary education and research opportunities. Participate in program development activities, including accreditation processes and curricular reviews. A doctoral degree in genetics, counseling, or a related field is required. Current board certification or eligibility for board certification in genetic counseling. Experience in teaching at the graduate level and mentoring students preferred. Strong understanding of genetic counseling ethics, practices, and current trends in the field. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex genetic concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences. Experience in clinical genetics or genetic counseling is highly desirable.
