Job Purpose The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the security, integrity, and access control of all production database systems. The Oracle Database Security Analyst will work in a hybrid environment, combining database administration expertise with strong access control management skills. This position plays a critical role in protecting data assets, implementing robust security controls, and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain access control for all production database systems. Implement and monitor database security policies, ensuring data confidentiality and integrity. Conduct regular audits to detect unauthorized access or potential vulnerabilities. Collaborate with database administrators and system engineers to maintain secure configurations. Apply best practices for encryption, authentication, and database hardening. Participate in incident response processes related to data breaches or security violations. Develop and update security documentation, including procedures and compliance reports. Support ongoing improvements to database security architecture and automation. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in database security, administration, or access management. Strong understanding of database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. Knowledge of security frameworks, encryption methods, and identity management practices. Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX). Proficiency in auditing, monitoring, and incident response related to data protection. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.
