    Position Overview:

    The BioMatrix People & Culture team is delighted to welcome a Senior Manager to our People & Culture team as we continue to build a strong, dedicated workforce. The People & Culture Senior Manager partners across the organization to ensure engagement and best-in-class employee experience. This leader will be a partner on organizational development, organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition, employee relations, and communication initiatives that align with BioMatrix’s mission, vision and strategic plans.  The People & Culture Senior Manager will facilitate the delivery of People & Culture programs and services to support business objectives of assigned business groups. The People & Culture Senior Manager builds relationships with business leaders and contributes a people perspective to business strategy discussions.

    Location: It is anticipated that an incumbent in this position will work remotely from a location within the continental United States. Work location subject to change based upon business needs.

    Travel:

    Up to 15% annual travel required.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field required
    • In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, four (4) years of People and Culture experience may be accepted
    • Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated People & Culture leadership experience required
    • Minimum of five (5) years of People & Culture Business Partner experience required
    • Broad knowledge of human resources practices, applicable laws, employee engagement and retention, employee development and organizational planning
    • Strong understanding of business processes
    • Demonstrated level of competence in organizational development, coaching, and employee relations
    • Proficient knowledge/skills/ability with MS Office applications
    • Excellent relationship building and communication skills
    • Willing to travel up to 15% of the time for business purposes when necessary to attend meetings, conferences, seminars, etc.
    • QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
    • Technical proficiency, including experience with HRIS systems (ex: ADP) preferred
    • Advanced MS Excel experience preferred
    • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Provide strategic and tactical day-to-day HR support to assigned business groups.
    • Implement, lead and facilitate HR initiatives and projects.
    • Identify and implement retention strategies focused on key leaders and individuals with core competencies or skills critical to the organization.
    • Utilize data driven metrics provided by HRIS Administrator to make recommendations to improve organizational and business effectiveness, perform analysis aligned with business performance to produce actionable insights and apply knowledge of data analysis techniques to interpret the data and to provide meaningful analysis.
    • Build partnerships across the organization, with an ability to work cross functionally.
    • Facilitate coaching, counseling and training for employee development and leadership training topics.
    • Counsel and advise employees, managers and business leaders regarding policies, talent, organization and employee issues.
    • Meet with leaders and employees regarding performance issues.  Counsel leaders regarding appropriate corrective actions and review and approve performance improvement plans and employee disciplinary actions to ensure internal processes, policies and practices are followed.
    • Analyze exit interview and other data and provide recommendations to improve employee retention.
    • Conduct onboarding and offboarding of employees.
    • Facilitate annual performance and merit review process.  Coach managers on writing and conducting effective performance reviews and provide feedback on new approaches for continual improvement of the performance management process for assigned business groups.
    • Share HR knowledge and leverage best practices across the HR organization.
    • Mediate employee concerns/complaints.  Lead/conduct investigations and manage/facilitate corrective actions.
    • Assist in developing solutions through organizational development (ex. Restructuring, roles and responsibility clarification, workforce planning).
    • Act as a change agent for entire business groups.
    • Build leadership and management capabilities to facilitate an open, inclusive, core values-based environment.
    • Ensure employee files are up to date in HRIS system – audit files on a quarterly basis.

    • This position requires constant sitting with occasional walking, standing, kneeling or stooping.

    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
    • This position must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
    • Required to move/lift physical hardware.
