    Job Description

About Auror At Auror, we’re empowering the retail industry to tackle theft and Organised Retail Crime, a $150 Billion problem globally. It’s high volume crime that’s increasingly organised in nature and is putting people, retailers, and communities at risk every day. Founded in New Zealand 12 years ago, we’re working with some of the best and largest retailers in the world across the UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Auror is connecting people and intelligence to reduce crime. We’re using technology for good. In partnership with our leading retail partners, we need people with the passion, determination, and innovation required to overcome one of the world's largest problems. If you’re looking to make a difference with and for the people dedicated to stopping crime, for good, then we want you on our team. We're also embracing the potential of AI to supercharge our impact—whether that's enhancing the way we detect trends, support our customers, or improve internal workflows. As a company, we're committed to responsibly incorporating AI into how we work and what we build, and we encourage all Aurors to be curious about how AI can elevate their work, regardless of role or function. The Role At Auror, we’re on a mission to be the best place for people to do their best work. This role isn’t just about hiring great people, you’ll be shaping the entire journey from the moment a candidate first hears about Auror until they’re fully thriving in our team. We believe the strongest partnerships with our leaders and teammates are built from day one and you’ll be that trusted advisor who sets the tone for a culture of high care and high performance. We’re on the lookout for a Talent & PX Partner to join us in the new year and step into a 13-month parental leave cover role, with the possibility of becoming permanent at the end of the term if there is a business need. Supporting our UK team, you’ll be a natural relationship builder - confident in navigating conversations with people of all levels of seniority, influencing with credibility, and guiding decisions with professionalism and care. You’ll genuinely love the art and science of talent. Finding the right candidate excites you, and you take pride in seeing people you’ve hired succeed in their role and beyond. You’ll thrive in a role where you can switch contexts often, enjoying the variety of influencing senior stakeholders, partnering on PX initiatives, and keeping a pulse on our people’s experience. What makes this role especially rewarding is the breadth: you’ll work across the full PX lifecycle at a company known for its strong culture - this is a true end-to-end people experience role, not just one piece of the puzzle. And you won’t be going it alone, you’ll join a supportive global team that values diverse skills and perspectives, and together you’ll build foundations of trust that help our people do their best work.

    Practically this will involve:

    People Experience

    • Partnering with PX teammates and leaders on initiatives across onboarding, performance, people development, DEIB, wellbeing, compensations/benefits and workplace experience.
    • Supporting our UK team with employment agreements, compensation philosophy, and job level strategy.
    • Acting as a trusted advisor on people relations, guiding individual contributors and leaders through complex conversations with care and professionalism.
    • Ensuring compliance with local requirements (health & safety, leave, payroll reporting).
    • Streamlining and administering people processes to make Auror a great place to work for everyone.

    Talent

    • Partnering with leaders to deeply understand hiring needs and priorities across the UK & Europe.
    • Leading proactive, innovative sourcing and recruitment to attract outstanding talent at all levels.
    • Designing engaging candidate experiences that reflect Auror’s culture of high care and high performance.

Building diverse and inclusive talent pipelines, supporting internal mobility, and enabling growth for existing team members. Driving Auror’s employer brand and talent community presence in the UK. Owning and continuously improving selection processes, assessments, and recruitment technologies. Coaching and upskilling leaders on interviewing tactics and decision-making. This role reports to Siân Govind, Director of Talent & PX At Auror, I lead our Talent & People Experience team with the goal of making Auror the best place for people to do their best work. I’ve spent the last decade in People & Talent, working with fast growing, generational technology companies around the world. Along the way, I’ve had the chance to build teams across five continents and having seen firsthand both the complexities and the rewards of diverse workforces, I’m a big believer in creating workplaces where people from all backgrounds can thrive. Outside of Auror, I also run my side hustle - BeHeard, where I partner with growing companies that want to take an intentional approach to building equitable workplace cultures. And at home, I’m a proud mum of two energetic boys (6 and 4) who definitely keep me busy! About you PX breadth: You have deep experience across the people experience lifecycle and you’re motivated by making an impact across the full people journey. Talent expertise: You may already have proven experience leading full-cycle recruitment, from proactive sourcing to creating exceptional candidate experiences, or you may come from a strong recruiting PX background and be excited to further hone those skills. Either way, you’re motivated to find the right people and take pride in seeing those hires thrive. Stakeholder partnering: Strong experience building trusted relationships with senior leaders. You’re skilled at influencing, navigating complex conversations, and guiding with credibility and care. Versatility: You’re comfortable wearing many hats and moving seamlessly between strategic initiatives and hands-on tasks. Perhaps you’ve been in a standalone PX/HR role before, or thrived in a lean team where adaptability and context switching were essential. Relationship builder: You naturally create connections with people, balancing empathy with accountability. Growth mindset: You’re proactive, resourceful, and excited by the opportunity to shape Auror’s UK PX practices as we grow. Commitment to inclusion: A deep belief in building diverse teams and inclusive practices, and a track record of making that real in your work. We are looking for people who demonstrate a strong alignment to our Guiding Principles (you can find these on our Careers page). Auror is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible application process to all candidates and we are actively working to improve diversity within the tech industry. We celebrate diversity and inclusiveness at Auror, regardless of (but not limited to) race, gender, sexual orientation, family status, religion, ethnicity, national origin, physical disability, veteran status, or age. If you need adjustments to any part of our recruitment process because of accessibility reasons, please do not hesitate to let us know during the application process. We will work with you to identify adjustments that will allow you to perform at your best. Competitive salary Range: Depending on level of experience £72,500 - £85,600 (IC4) Flexibility: We are hard-working and outcome focused, but recognise there is more to life than work. We promote a healthy work/life blend. Shorter work weeks (at full pay): Everyone gets Friday afternoons off, so you can start your weekend early, and do more of whatever it is that makes you happy. Focus on mental and physical health: We understand how vital our health is and have policies to support your wellness, including: Wellness Days, and up to three expert sessions paid for every year. Team connection: We organise social events to help us connect regularly as a team. Making an impact: You’ll work to solve interesting problems and help us keep communities safe.

    Next steps:

    • If you’re excited about our mission and you have the experience and a passion for this role, please hit “Apply”.

If you’re not sure that you tick all the boxes but feel you’re close to what we’re looking for, please apply anyway! We’re proud that Auror is a place where everyone can learn and grow so we’d love to hear from you. You'll be asked to submit a cover letter as part of your application. While this is optional we do encourage it, as we find cover letters can tell a story that resumes alone often cannot. Our hiring team love to understand what attracted you to this role and why you are excited about the opportunity to join Auror.

    • Once you apply, you’ll hear from us to acknowledge your application. If you have questions about any of the above, or if you have any accessibility requirements, we’ll be able to help you from there.
