    Job Description

    Ultimate Medical Academy is a non-profit healthcare educational institution with a national presence. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida and founded in 1994, UMA offers content-rich, interactive online programs as well as hands-on training at our Clearwater, Florida campus.

    Purpose of the Position:

    A Placement Verification Coordinator ensures seamless transitions for our graduates into meaningful employment. We empower student success and career outcomes by verifying placements, collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging with graduates and employers.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Employer Validation and Alignment: Ensure that all employers fall within the allied health field or support allied health functions.
    • Verification Process Management: Complete verification checklists or scripts for employment confirmations. Contact graduates and employers to verify employment details and competencies.
    • Document Management and Enhancement: Pull transcripts as needed and attach missing job descriptions to student profiles.
    • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Graduate Success Team Managers and Coordinators to maintain open communication regarding employment confirmations.
    • Quality Assurance and Data Accuracy: Review verified placements for accuracy, including business authentication, grammar, and SOC codes. Address discrepancies and maintain data integrity in systems.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
    • Experience in education, placement, career services, or related field.
    • Skills – attention to detail, customer service, teamwork, and follow-up skills.
    • Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
    • Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
    • Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Any degree or equivalent experience and/or strong or advanced proficiency in the above required skills/experience.

    1+ years’ experience or strong/advanced proficiency in any of the above minimum requirements.

    • Experience in education, career services, employment staffing, out placement services or executive search.
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
    • Other skills and abilities – professional sales/business development, multi-tasking, time management, rapport building, presentation, adaptability, and interpersonal skills.

    Compliance:

    Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and internal policies and procedures. Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.

    Work Environment/Physical Demands:

    • This is a full-time remote position.
    • Home office set up, quiet place to work, and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection.
    • May require setup of computer equipment; accommodation consideration available upon request.
    • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
    • Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.
