This role is designed for a strategic leader who will define, govern, and continuously improve global project management standards and practices across professional services operations. The PMO Practices Director will act as the center of excellence for delivery governance, establishing frameworks, processes, tools, and metrics that drive consistent, predictable, and profitable service delivery. You will collaborate with regional leaders, technical teams, and partners to enhance project performance, implement best practices, and ensure alignment across all geographies. This position requires a balance of operational rigor, strategic thinking, and people leadership in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. You will influence cross-functional teams, mentor PMO staff, and drive the adoption of standards that optimize efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
10+ years of professional services experience, including 5+ years in PMO leadership or project governance roles.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and scaling PMOs across diverse delivery models. Experience with professional services automation (PSA) tools such as Kantata or Mavenlink. Demonstrated success improving delivery consistency, project margins, and customer satisfaction. Exceptional cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to design and operationalize complex governance frameworks. PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification preferred. Data-driven decision-making skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders effectively. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
