    Description Power Distribution Make Ready Designer Location: Remote (100% remote after initial 2-week paid training in Perrysburg, OH) Employment Type: Full-Time

    Minimum Requirements to Apply

    • At least 1 year of experience in Power Utility Distribution Make-Ready Design (3+ years strongly preferred)
    • Proficiency in CAD, MicroStation, or similar design software (DDS Preferred)
    • Familiarity with NESC standards and utility construction practices
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass background, drug, and driving record checks
    • Available to work Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM ET

    Position Overview This is a remote role supporting Make-Ready/Joint-Use and general distribution design for power utility companies. All new hires must attend a 2-week paid in-person training at our headquarters in Perrysburg, OH.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Execute end-to-end power distribution designs using established guidelines
    • Research and manage permits, easements, and pole ownership
    • Use specialized software: AutoCAD, MicroStation, DDS, PoleForeman, O-Calc, Katapult, etc.
    • Collaborate with teams to solve complex design challenges
    • Perform quality control on design work as needed

    Requirements

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 3+ years of Make-Ready Engineering / Joint-Use design experience strongly preferred
    • Experience using DDS - Distribution Design Software
