Product Engineer

The client is looking for a skilled Product Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you’ll build core features, write production-quality code, and collaborate closely with Product, QA, and Design. You’ll help scale the platform, improve reliability, and support junior teammates while contributing to an engineering culture rooted in ownership, quality, and continuous improvement. This is an ideal role for a mid-level engineer who loves solving problems, shipping features quickly, and mentoring others in a supportive, asynchronous-first environment. What You’ll DoBuild & Ship Features Own medium-complexity tickets end-to-end—from scoping to deployment Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to build user-focused solutions Participate in grooming, clarify requirements, and surface technical tradeoffs Write High-Quality Code Deliver clean, maintainable, well-tested code Follow PR guidelines, document context, and address reviewer feedback proactively Debug and resolve issues across multiple layers of the stack Review & Improve Code Conduct peer code reviews and uplift junior engineers’ work Provide constructive, respectful feedback that improves quality and knowledge-sharing Support Releases & Reliability Assist in staging and production deployments Validate releases, coordinate notes, and troubleshoot production issues when needed Mentor & Collaborate Pair program, answer questions, and guide Associate Engineers Help strengthen team processes and propose workflow improvements Must-Haves 3+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong experience with JavaScript/React and Python (or equivalent full-stack experience) Familiarity with Git-based workflows and async collaboration tools (Jira, Slack, Confluence) Experience writing tests and debugging web applications Strong written and verbal communication skills Nice-to-Haves Experience building B2B or SaaS products Knowledge of QA best practices or test automation Prior mentorship or technical leadership exposure Experience with CI/CD, cloud environments, or infrastructure tools (AWS, Docker, GitHub Actions) Key Competencies Technical problem-solving & systems thinking Rapid learning and adaptability Strong ownership and accountability Clear, concise communication (especially async) Quality-focused mindset with attention to detail User-centered design intuition Continuous improvement mindset
