As a Project Manager on the Policy & Ratings team, you will oversee and coordinate multiple technical and policy-focused projects aimed at advancing energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives. You will play a key role in guiding project deliverables, managing stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across complex, multi-stakeholder programs. This role involves conducting market research, data analysis, and regulatory tracking to inform actionable insights. You will collaborate with internal teams, external clients, and industry stakeholders, contributing directly to measurable energy, carbon, and water savings. Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while influencing team-wide initiatives. Your work will directly shape the impact of energy efficiency programs and the broader energy market landscape. \n
Accountabilities Manage the planning, execution, and quality control of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of project outcomes. Oversee project budgets, timelines, processes, and tasks with minimal supervision. Facilitate communication with internal teams, clients, and external collaborators to ensure project alignment and progress. Conduct market research, analyze data, and track industry trends to inform project decisions and policy strategies. Organize and lead virtual meetings, workshops, and stakeholder outreach initiatives. Coordinate subcontractor management, invoicing, and related administrative responsibilities. Prepare and present findings, technical documentation, and project insights to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in an energy-related or policy-related discipline (e.g., environmental science, engineering, public policy, or economics) or equivalent work experience. 2+ years of relevant work experience (or 4+ years in lieu of a degree). Technical familiarity with building energy systems and technologies, such as HVAC, lighting, water heating, envelope, industrial processes, electric vehicles, demand response, distributed generation, and water efficiency. Knowledge of building energy codes, appliance standards, and/or policy development. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and task management tools like Monday.com. Strong analytical, technical writing, and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams. Willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes.
