Safety Manager (Remote)

The Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing corporate safety programs across multiple locations, ensuring regulatory compliance and minimizing workplace risks. This role involves conducting audits, inspections, and safety meetings, as well as developing and maintaining systems for reporting incidents and corrective actions. The ideal candidate combines strong knowledge of industry safety standards with practical leadership skills to foster a culture of safety, engage teams, and drive continuous improvement in operational environments. Frequent travel across the US and Canada is required to support branch operations and program initiatives. \n

Accountabilities:

• Implement and manage corporate safety and risk reduction programs across multiple locations.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and meetings to ensure compliance with OHS, OSHA, and local regulatory standards.
• Develop and maintain systems for incident reporting, near-miss investigations, and corrective action tracking.
• Act as a liaison with governing and regulatory entities to ensure compliance and facilitate audits.
• Support branches in maintaining recognized safety awards and certifications.
• Prepare statistical reports and safety performance metrics on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Provide recommendations for preventive measures to mitigate the recurrence of incidents.

Requirements:

6–10 years of experience managing Occupational Health and Safety Programs.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, health, or a related field preferred.
• Certification as a Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or equivalent; Health and Safety Administration or Construction Safety Administration certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CORE, OHS, OSHA, and industry safety standards.
• Excellent teamwork, leadership, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and ERP systems.
• Ability to work in office and warehouse/fabrication environments.
• Physical capability for moderate walking, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% across the US and Canada.
