Senior Android Engineer, Trust Platform

In this role, you will develop and maintain foundational Android systems that protect users and maintain platform integrity at scale. You will work on cross-platform initiatives to detect and mitigate fraud, contributing to a high-throughput trust and safety framework that powers critical features for millions of users. Collaborating with engineers across web, mobile, and backend teams, you will design and implement solutions that improve developer experience, performance, and reliability. This position combines hands-on Android development with strategic impact, providing opportunities to influence platform architecture while partnering closely with product and design teams. Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain key trust and safety features on the Android platform.
• Contribute to cross-platform solutions such as the friction framework, ensuring high reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with iOS, web, and backend engineers to build consistent and scalable platform tools.
• Partner with product teams to identify pain points, pilot solutions, and drive adoption of core frameworks.
• Participate in all phases of software development including architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Support code quality, operational excellence, and knowledge sharing across the engineering team.

6+ years of professional experience in native Android development.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in Kotlin or Java, Jetpack Compose, UI architecture, and UI performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of client networking, caching, storage, asynchronous programming, and accessibility best practices.

Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience leading projects from inception to delivery. Experience in fraud, trust, or security domains is a plus. Ability to solve problems thoughtfully and pragmatically while fostering an inclusive team environment. Competitive base salary: $191,000—$223,000 USD.
