Senior Data Engineer

Our positions are full-time, remote, and offer competitive compensation in USD. We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design and build a new product from the ground up. We are looking for strong experience with data transformation on datasets using open technologies like DBT and Airflow. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable ETL processes, with a strong emphasis on SQL for complex data transformations and Python for complementary scripting and automation, to support the rapidly growing and dynamic business processes requiring high-quality data. Given that this is an early-stage initiative, you will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables and building quick prototypes or proofs of concept.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing ETL processes.
• Taking full ownership of the technical architecture, design, and implementation of our data platform and related tools.
• Establishing collaboration with stakeholders and other engineering leaders to define and develop our data platform roadmap.
• Acting as a subject matter expert to leadership for technical guidance around the solution design and best practices.

Requirements:

5+ years working as a Data Engineer 4+ years of complex SQL data transformations and operations, with strong knowledge of SQL optimization and understanding of logical & physical execution plans Hands-on experience with DBT and Airflow Strong Python Scripting knowledge Hands-on experience with AWS Advanced Modern Data Warehouse concepts & Big Data Modeling experience (i.e., Relational, Dimensional, logs at scale) Experience with DuckDB, pandas, and Jupyter Notebook is a plus Knowledge of Spark is a Plus (Batch/Streaming), Spark SQL, and PySpark

• Experience working with various stakeholders to master the data domain and manipulate data to fit the needs of the business.
• Strong English communication skills - Minimum B2 level proficiency
