This role is ideal for a skilled software engineer passionate about building scalable, high-performance systems and maintaining high-quality code. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of software development, from design and implementation to deployment and maintenance. The position involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to architecture and system improvements, and mentoring other engineers. The focus is on Java development, particularly for time-series and columnar data architectures, with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and maintainability. 3–5 years of software engineering experience, with 2–4+ years using Java or similar high-level languages (Kotlin, C++, C#).
Experience with time-series or columnar databases and distributed storage systems. Familiarity with tools such as IntelliJ, Git, and Webpack. Experience in agile methodologies and the ability to proactively take initiative. Strong problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills. Preferred: Java JDK 17+, SQL expertise, experience with Kafka or message queue architectures, test-driven development (TDD), cybersecurity knowledge, and leadership experience. Nice to have: experience in industrial automation or SCADA systems. Annual salary range: $140,000–$160,000. 100% employee-covered healthcare: medical, dental, and vision.
