Software Engineer - Full Stack - Remote

Company Description SMI Aware provides the legal industry with accurate social web screening of people and defensible preservation of any online content. Founded in 2011, SMI Aware is the longest-running social media evidence collection and preservation company. We have created proprietary technology that enables us to locate, analyze, and preserve information from social media, search engines, public records, and the deep web. We help law firms, legal professionals, and corporations analyze OSINT and social media evidence for use in due-diligence, investigations, and litigation support. Job Description As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for delivering new features and functionality. This position will also be responsible for extending the Application's Universal API, Integrations, Database, and general back end architecture, and front end interface. You will work in a highly collaborative and supportive environment across all stages of an Agile software development life cycle, including architecture design, development, documentation, testing and operations. There is also opportunity to work in Vue, Node, and Puppeteer if skills and experience allow. You should be able to analyze and deliver solutions efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Core Responsibilities and Tasks

• Understanding SMI Aware's core business model, and identifying technical solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of our products
• Full stack web application development
• Manage Universal API
• Maintain and improve Application in conjunction with the Engineering Team
• Applied experience and expertise in NodeJS
• Ability to work with JavaScript, Node, Puppeteer, and/or Vue (Nuxt)
• Web Scraping and web automation
• Browser extension development (Chrome)
• Identify opportunities to improve software performance

-Implement software solutions along with making product recommendations to improve user experiences and product capabilities

• The ability to communicate the rationale and processes behind technical decisions to non-technical people within the organization
• Periodically perform other duties and tasks based on the needs of the company

Qualifications

• Must have NodeJS expertise
• Must have experience working within existing codebases in a Git environment
• Must have experience with API design
• Must have experience with Database design

MySQL experience NoSQL experience ORM experience

• Working knowledge of social network APIs
• Linux terminal experience
