Solutions Engineer

In this role, you will serve as the primary technical partner for our most strategic prospects and customers. You’ll play a dual role: driving complex technical engagements through end-to-end demos, migrations, and integrations, and accelerating ramp for new sales hires by codifying best practices. You will showcase our product’s value to prospects, uncover challenges and architect tailored solutions, drive successful sales evaluations, and champion customer needs internally. What You’ll Do Articulate Linear’s architecture, data model, and integration patterns to engineering and product teams; deliver tailored technical presentations and deep-dive demos for key stakeholders. Design, plan, and execute large-scale migrations, custom configurations, and API integrations; troubleshoot proactively to ensure seamless onboarding. Build and maintain realistic demo instances that mirror enterprise workflows, scale tests, and feature toggles—enabling sales reps to showcase Linear’s capabilities in context. Collaborate with Sales Enablement to develop technical training materials, run “train-the-trainer” sessions for new hires, and curate a library of exemplar solution playbooks. Act as the go-to technical resource for high-priority accounts; work alongside Customer Success to resolve post-sale technical issues and drive adoption. What We’re Looking For 3+ years in a Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, or similar role at a high-growth SaaS company, with experience supporting enterprise-scale deals. Strong hands-on experience with OAuth2 and GraphQL, data migrations, and product integrations Excellent communication skills—able to present complex technical concepts clearly to both engineers and executives Experience with Github and git; Linear and/or Jira strongly preferred Proven ability to build realistic, scalable demo environments and troubleshoot production issues CS degree or engineering background strongly preferred Collaborative mindset with experience partnering across Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams Comfort with SQL and scripting (e.g., Python or JavaScript) What we offer Interesting and challenging work—defining Linear’s European GTM strategy from the ground up Work-life balance Competitive salary and equity; employee-friendly equity terms (early exercise, extended exercise) Paid lunch and coffee during workdays Fully remote, with paid co-working space/desk support in London or nearby Health, dental, and vision insurance tailored per country requirements. 5 weeks of paid vacation 4 months of paid parental leave (or more depending on local jurisdiction) Regular team events and offsites
