    Job Description

    Mission: Essence of the Job

    As one of our Sourcing Managers at BoomPop, your mission is to stand up version 2.0 of our sourcing team. You will play a critical role in helping our clients land the perfect venue/location/hotel for their event. This means you’ll anticipate, support, and analyze the sourcing needs of our clients and event planners with exceptional customer service, unwavering adaptability to changing needs, and a strong focus on reducing time-to-source and sourcing accuracy. You will also play a crucial role in helping to inform product development decisions and contributing to the overall growth and success of the company. This role sits at a critical nexus point between sales and our event agency.

    Top 3 Priorities Ability to negotiate competitive hotel deals that include tailored add-ons and concessions aligned with the client’s preferences and overall event vision. Understand holistic client needs, maintain clear communication, and identify venues and vendors that fit the event brief -- aided by a comprehensive background knowledge of Hotels across all brands/star levels in the region of expertise (or even good to generalize all US for now). Provide cross-functional sourcing support across the Event team, rigorously prioritizing the highest impact areas among other competing priorities.

    Within 30 days:

    You will have familiarized yourself with full-cycle sourcing by learning the BoomPop product and SOPs. You'll also begin establishing relationships with the events and offshore sourcing team. You will be fully onboarded and sourcing for active events.

    Within 60 days:

    You will provide product and partnerhub feedback and help with projects to streamline sourcing. You’ll also have a full understanding of BP’s software and Full Event Agency

    Within 90 days:

    You will become a trusted and reliable sourcer for the events team and build strong relationships with hotel partners. You’ll also begin to own projects that will contribute to elevating the sourcing process. Competencies Event Management. What you'll do Own the hotel sourcing process from client kickoff, to RFPs, through signed contracts, including negotiating contract terms and clauses Partner with event planners on sourcing needs for clients Partner with sales to ensure contracts are executed and clients are happy Work with supply partners to ensure RFP accuracy to reduce sourcing errors, and reduce the overall time it takes us to complete the sourcing product platform-wide as a first issue priority Regularly review the sourcing funnel and analyze needs, opportunities, and potential blockers Demonstrate exceptional client obsession by consistently meeting or exceeding client expectations Adapt to changing client requests with a positive attitude and a focus on finding solutions Own process improvement and documentation for best practices to ensure the team is set up for success Establish an ongoing feedback loop with the partnerships team on hotel performance Qualifications 5+ years of experience in end-to-end event management with a focus on sourcing, vendor management/coordination, sales, planning, execution, and budget management 3-5 years of experience in hotels/hospitality required Exceptional communication and negotiation skills Exceptional customer service skills Strong adaptability, flexibility, and problem-solving skills Strong sense of urgency and the ability to rigorously prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Excellent project management skills and experience managing a high volume of tasks Strong executive presence and ability to present information to a variety of senior leaders Proven ability to be creative and innovative in planning in-person events Benefits & Perks Competitive salary + equity, with tons of room for career growth Company sponsored 401(k) Generous PTO Paid parental leave Flexibility to work from anywhere Amazing annual team-wide and department offsites World-class medical, vision, and dental plans with 100% employee contributions covered + 80% dependent contributions covered $50/month phone stipend Occasional Travel: Connecting is in our DNA, please note that we anticipate roughly 6-8 nights of travel per year for this role.

    Total Compensation Package; Including Benefits and Stock:

    Base: $66,000 - 100,000 a year; Depending on Experience and Qualifications Medical, vision, dental, life: $10,000 - $16,000 a year; Depending on Individual or Family Plan Equity: Our vision is to take BoomPop to the moon 🚀
