Sr. Data Engineer( Data Modeler) (Remote)

As a Sr. Data Engineer specializing in data modeling, you will design and implement large-scale, high-performance data systems that enable advanced analytics, business intelligence, and data-driven applications. You will work on integrating data from diverse sources, optimizing data pipelines, and ensuring high-quality, secure, and reliable datasets. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders, while exploring innovative technologies to enhance data processing capabilities. You will also establish monitoring, auditing, and governance standards to maintain robust and compliant data infrastructure.

Accountabilities:

• Design and develop scalable data models (3NF and dimensional) for large-scale data infrastructure.
• Integrate data from databases, APIs, and streaming platforms to ensure seamless access for downstream applications.
• Optimize data processing, query performance, and database configurations to improve efficiency.
• Implement data quality checks, validations, and security measures to ensure reliable and compliant datasets.
• Develop and maintain data infrastructure including data warehouses, data lakes, and pipelines.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and auditing mechanisms for performance, access, and governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support analytics, business intelligence, and reporting needs.

5–7 years of experience in data modeling, including 3NF and dimensional models.

• Strong proficiency in SQL for data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Experience designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and data processing workflows.

Knowledge of data quality management, governance, and security best practices. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders. Growth mindset with adaptability, agility, and commitment to continuous learning. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
