Staff Accountant

In this role, you’ll manage client engagements, perform some audit & assurance, lead junior staff, and contribute to the strategic growth of the firm. Responsibilities:

• Lead tax and consulting engagements for a diverse client base.
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements for personal, corporate and trust tax returns.
• Review financial statements and prepare reports for senior leadership.

Audit & Assurance

• Provide advisory services to clients, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance planning.
• Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and standards.
• Coach and support junior team members.
• Develop strong client relationships through exceptional service.
• Contribute to business development and bring new ideas to the table.
• CPA designation (in good standing) required.

3+ years of hands-on experience in a public accounting firm. Solid knowledge of Canadian GAAP and relevant tax legislation. Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, QuickBooks, & Profile). Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively. A collaborative and supportive work environment.
