Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to work with Wonolo’s Finance team in day-to-day functions. You will be employed by a third-party legal entity authorized to do business in the location in which you reside and you will provide contractual services to Wonolo’s Finance team. You will collaborate cross-functionally with different teams throughout the organization, provide critical accounting support, and work to enhance operational efficiency. You will be a big contributor in delivering a world class financial operations experience

What you'll do:

Perform cash applications, including applying customer payments in NetSuite Perform bank reconciliations, identify and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy Prepare AR-related processes, including accurate customer invoices and manage customer inquiries on invoicing Create and maintain CSV import templates and reconciliations in Excel and NetSuite to support transaction posting and analysis Work with senior members of the finance team on day-to-day operations and as part of ad-hoc strategic initiatives Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including general ledger reconciliations and journal entries Perform ad-hoc analytical reporting Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration and communication Cross train in other finance functions that may not be listed above

Who you are:

5+ years of accounting experience, including cash management and reconciliations Analytical mind with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficient in ERP systems and third party software; quick to learn new applications. Proficiency in Netsuite is a plus. Proficient in MS office with advanced Excel skills (e.g. Vlookup/Xlookup, Pivot Tables, Arrays) Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, change priorities quickly A strong enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development. Demonstrated commitment to process improvement and operational efficiency
