Staff Software Engineer (Remote - Europe)

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be a pivotal member of the product development team, responsible for delivering high-quality software at an exceptional pace while shaping technical strategy and best practices. You will work across the full stack, solving complex technical challenges, optimizing performance, and driving architectural improvements. This role involves mentoring engineers, promoting a culture of excellence, and acting as a force multiplier for the engineering organization. You will influence product and technical decisions, contribute to system scalability and maintainability, and ensure the delivery of impactful solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment. This is a mission-critical role for engineers passionate about building robust, high-performing systems and elevating the capabilities of those around them.

Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-performance, scalable software solutions across the full stack.
• Take ownership of critical system components and provide architectural guidance to ensure long-term stability and maintainability.
• Write clean, well-tested, and documented code while conducting rigorous code reviews to improve team output.
• Rapidly switch between frontend, backend, infrastructure, and database tasks to remove roadblocks and accelerate delivery.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks in production systems.
• Identify and automate inefficient development processes, including CI/CD, testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, sharing knowledge and promoting technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure technical solutions align with business goals.

7+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven record of high-impact contributions.

• Expert proficiency in Typescript and Python, with experience across modern cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and performance optimization at scale. Experience in agile, fast-iteration development environments with rapid delivery cycles. Strong expertise with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, virtualization, and modern database technologies. Ability to mentor engineers and influence engineering best practices and standards. Demonstrated skill in architectural design, code optimization, and process improvement. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in a remote, global team environment. Preferred: portfolio of end-to-end project delivery, contributions to open-source software, or experience in rapid development methodologies. Flexible full-time remote work from home.
