We’re seeking a leader to drive government growth—someone who can see around corners, put Code Metal in position as policy and acquisition priorities evolve, navigate complex programs, understand and explain our complex technology, and chart a path across services and combatant commands.
This role blends strategy, capture, and relationship-building. You’ll partner directly with company execs to co-develop, execute, and lead the government GTM strategy. You’re excited about working at a dual-use company with proven AI, whose mission is to solve some of the government’s most urgent problems. You also crave everything from the national security mission to figuring out and getting on the best contract vehicle to enable delivery.
Define, lead, and execute the GTM strategy across the DoD and related federal programs Build and maintain senior-level relationships across services, combatant commands, and other government bodies Turn opportunities into contracts Anticipate policy, budget, and acquisition shifts that open new opportunities Collaborate with technical teams to align Code Metal’s product with government needs Manage the growing government GTM team Why Code Metal?
Growth: We went from a SBIR Phase 1 to a Phase 3 within 12 months and have line of sight on the far side of the valley of death. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (MBA a plus) Experience in business development, capture, or GTM leadership within government or defense technology sectors with a proven history of success Deep understanding of DoD acquisition, procurement, and team structures Proven track record of expanding business from single-branch engagements into multi-branch programs Demonstrated success driving multi-million-dollar defense programs or contracts Exceptional communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills US Citizen required (clearance preferred) Remote OK Pay depends on experience, but we strive to be at the upper end of the salary range Health care plan with 100% premium coverage, including medical, dental, and vision. 401k with 5% matching.
