Tax Advisory Senior Assistant - Lawyer

The Tax Advisory team of FORVIS MAZARS in Greece is currently looking for an experienced Senior Assistant with a legal background, specialized in corporate and tax law, to join its dynamic and highly motivated team. Responsibilities Working closely with the rest of the tax advisory team, as well as with teams from other service lines. Conducting thorough research of both new and existing legislation. Drafting tax advisory reports, memos and proposals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work, while understanding client expectations and needs. Maintaining strong technical knowledge in all areas of taxation, both domestic and international. Coordinating with the tax advisory team, clients, intermediaries (being banks, lawyers, financial advisors and/or the tax authorities) and colleagues throughout advisory engagements. Conducting in-depth research on case law from national courts and the European Court of Justice (ECJ), as well as examining decisions from the Dispute Resolution Directorate. Dealing with ad-hoc client corporate and tax advisory and planning issues. BSc in Law (LLM in Corporate or Public Law with specialization in Tax Law and/or ADIT will be considered an asset). Qualified to work as an Attorney-at-law in Greece. 3-5 years of professional experience in the relevant fields in a medium/ large practice environment (preferably audit firm or law firm with tax advisory department). Completion of the Long-term Tax seminar provided by AUEB will be considered a plus. Excellent knowledge of accounting, corporate, tax and labor law legislation. Focus on delivering work of excellent quality with attention to detail. Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
