Technical Services Specialist

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Technical Services Specialist to join our team You will be responsible for providing professional service and support in customer systems with a primary target of supporting the customer in reaching and exceeding their targets for biological and financial performance. You will be combining current technical knowledge with practical farm experience, and help to identify opportunity areas, suggest potential action plans and in many cases work side-by-side with customers to implement and realise target advancements. You will report to the European Technical Services Director This role is remote, but you must be based in the UK, we are open to those relocating to the UK as well You Will Represent, plan, and execute the PIC technical program with key customers and be an industry thought leader. Work with customers help ensure PIC product performance. Monitor performance levels and help establish and respond to performance opportunities targeted by PIC commercial customers. Develop, with other team members, comprehensive plans, technical information, and initiatives aimed at creating value with customers through PIC products, technology and /or services. Support the sales and supply chain teams with regular technical updates, tailored customer service plans, and follow up reporting. Help customers realize the genetic potential of PIC products. Ensure PIC Biosecurity protocols are adhered to at all times. Ensure standards of conduct in dealing with customers, employees and allied industry in matters relating to social, professional and ethical obligations. Requirements A 5-year university education or equivalent in veterinary, animal science or nutrition related field preferred with a minimum of 4 years’ experience within intensive swine production systems required. Ability to evaluate performance and financial information and make informed decisions regarding magnitude and target of opportunities in customer and partner operations. Willing to travel both domestically and internationally; English language essential Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including demonstrated success in leading and developing teams. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Positive and proactive attitude Ability to train, lead and influence others to perform at a high level, ability, and disposition to work both independently and as part of a team. Tackling climate change:

• Monitor and identify goals for the reduction of our GHG emissions from our own operations.

Drive porcine and bovine genetic improvements which support productivity gains and improve feed efficiency, enabling a reduction in the production of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per unit of milk or meat produced
