The Technical Writer applies expertise in writing technical materials and documentation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established documentation standards and style guides. This position requires technical knowledge and responsibility for specific phases of documentation, including design, creation, and quality checking. This position is primarily remote with travel as requested. It requires availability during EST business hours. US Citizenship is required with a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one. Leverages and implements where possible the Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Information Processing (FIP), Government Printing Office (GPO), or commercial documentation standards as appropriate to the assignment.
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency Six (6) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency
Active Public Trust security clearance
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness. Requirements Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency Six (6) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency Familiarity with standards for documentation formats, editing workflows, and configuration management. Ability to work closely with technical editors, technical writers, or authors to ensure repository publication processes are followed. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely. Ability to obtain Public Trust Security Clearance.
