About the Role We’re looking for a UI Designer who is passionate about crafting intuitive, visually engaging digital experiences that empower our users. You’ll play a key role in transforming complex workflows into elegant, user-friendly interfaces that support our mission of simplifying design and data for the built environment.
As part of our product team, you’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and domain experts to design scalable and consistent UI systems. You’ll be responsible for turning requirements and research insights into wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes, all while maintaining a deep focus on usability and clarity.
This role is ideal for someone who’s detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and eager to grow into a UX Designer position in the near future. If you already have UX experience, that’s a strong plus, we’ll leverage it immediately.
Responsibilities Design and maintain UI components, patterns, and layouts across web and mobile applications. Translate product requirements and user stories into design concepts, mockups, and production-ready assets. Collaborate with engineers to ensure feasibility and pixel-perfect implementation of designs. Participate in user testing and apply feedback to refine user interfaces. Contribute to the evolution of our design system, ensuring visual consistency and scalability. Support cross-functional teams by communicating design rationale clearly and effectively. Document workflows, interaction patterns, and visual standards for internal reference. (If bilingual in Japanese and English) Help bridge communication between design, product, and development teams across regions.
Requirements 2–4 years of experience in UI design for digital products (SaaS, data tools, or enterprise systems preferred). Strong proficiency in Figma (or equivalent), with a portfolio showcasing attention to typography, layout, and interaction. Understanding of UX principles and willingness to expand into end-to-end product design. Familiarity with responsive design, accessibility, and front-end development basics (HTML/CSS). Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to iterate quickly based on feedback. Bilingual in Japanese and English is a plus. Experience or strong interest in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) domain is highly valued.
Growth Path This role provides a clear trajectory toward a UX Designer position, where you’ll take on broader user research, interaction design, and product strategy responsibilities. We’ll provide mentorship, exposure to cross-disciplinary projects, and structured opportunities to build toward that next step.
Nice-to-Haves Experience working with design systems or component libraries. Prior exposure to 3D tools, BIM workflows, or construction visualization platforms. Comfort presenting design ideas to technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to analyze user data or behavior metrics to inform design decisions.
