This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as an HR Generalist, joining our EOR Operations Team. For this role, you must be fluent [written and orally] in either Hungarian or Georgian, and English.

As an empathetic, client-oriented problem-solver, the HR Generalist will be responsible for handling onboarding, offboarding, and mobility processes for external employees. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: contract administration, employee relations, training, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.

You will be reporting to the Manager, Lifecycle Operations.

 

What you bring

  • Fluency, written and oral, in Hungarian, as well as English
  • Georgian (B2+) strongly preferred.
  • Multiple years working in as HR generalist, or people operations function
  • Experience working with employment contracts, and/or other types of legally-binding contracts in the people space
  • Experience working directly with employees to roll out HR paperwork, policies, and procedures
  • Experience assisting employees with various queries throughout different stages of the employee lifecycle, providing clear resolutions with well-organized internal information
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, ideally within a startup company.
  • Excited by the constant change and growth working in a startup company brings.
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines and HR processes at the same time.
  • Team player, ready to support colleagues when needed while having a strong sense of ownership, comfortable working independently, asks for help when needed.
  • Strong communication skills - with the ability to convey accuracy, empathy, and simplicity in your written and spoken comms.
  • Creative problem-solving skills - AKA able to think outside the box to get stuff done.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for the onboarding and offboarding of new employees (external to Remote) from a documentation and compliance perspective, including document verification and administration, preparation of employment packages, and fielding employee queries.
  • Own the employee processes, from start to finish, executing operational requirements to enable employment of these external employees.
  • Assist mobility specialist with certain administrative components of visa and immigration checks
  • Craft documentation and policies that support the HR administration
  • Manage a select grouping of employees using Remote’s HRIS.
  • Work cross-functionally with our other key operational teams including Mobility, Benefits and Payroll to ensure a smooth client and employee experience.
  • Continuously identify and implement ways to improve the employee lifecycle.
  • Manage employee data and serve as subject matter expert on our product, ensuring information is current, secure and confidentiality is maintained.
  • Identify automation opportunities within HR processes

The base salary range for this full-time position is $23,500USD - $52,500 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
